In 2009, the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors called upon WGK, Inc., to design 2 new structures that would replace the bridges at Church Hill Road and Guedon Road as a single project under the MDOT Office of State Aid Road Construction. WGK responded with an environmental assessment, alternative and hydraulic analysis that were incorporated into the preliminary and final designs, and staying on-site throughout the project to administer construction engineering and inspection. Additionally, WGK is meeting all State Aid requirements by performing all materials testing and filing daily inspection reports.
The two structures were designed and are being built to meet design criteria set forth by the Office of State Aid Road Construction. Currently, the $1.4 million project is under construction and scheduled to be completed in 2015.
